This book is an extensive account of Christian faith's inception in the Indian subcontinent with the arrival of Apostle Thomas in first century and its development during the Mughal Empire, and onto the transition brought about by various missionary efforts during the British colonial era. 

The Archdeacon Barkat Ullah highlights the adaptability and tenacity of the Christian faith in maintaining its identity while also engaging in meaningful dialogues with Indo-Islamic culture and philosophy.
